Bolt Alignment — Done Right First Time
Centraliser® holds holding-down bolts securely in position during the concrete pour — preventing movement, maintaining alignment, and ensuring steel erection can proceed without delay or adjustment.
-
No bolt movement during pour
-
Accurate alignment within tolerance
-
No post-pour adjustments required
-
Ready for immediate steel installation
THE PROBLEM
Misaligned bolts create problems long after the concrete has been poured.
Traditional bolt-box assemblies can allow waxed cones to move, distort or become damaged during installation and concreting. When bolts move away from their intended position, valuable baseplate tolerances may be consumed before steel erection begins
WITHOUT CENTRALISER

WITH CENTRALISER

01
Bolts drift from their intended centre
04
Baseplates do not align cleanly
02
Cones lean, move or collapse
05
Bolts require adjustment or remedial work
03
Concrete and debris enter the bolt void
06
Steel erection is delayed
THE SOLUTION
A simple solution inside the
bolt box.
Centraliser is fitted around the holding-down bolt and positioned within the waxed cardboard cone. Its form helps locate the bolt centrally while providing internal support to the cone — creating a more stable bolt-box assembly before and during the concrete pour.
Locates the bolt centrally within the cone
Provides internal support to the waxed cardboard
Helps protect baseplate erection tolerances
Reduces avoidable on-site remedial work
THE BENEFITS
Better control at every stage of installation.
Centraliser is designed to help maintain bolt position, support cone stability and reduce avoidable remedial work — from foundation pour through to steel erection.

Accurate Bolt Positioning
Helps maintain the bolt in its intended location within the cone.

Reduced remedial work
Better initial positioning reduces the need for cutting or correction.

Protected tolerances
Helps preserve the movement allowance required during steel erection.

Faster Steel Erection
Correctly positioned bolts make baseplate alignment more efficient.

Improved Cone Stability
Provides internal support and helps reduce distortion or crushing.

Cleaner bolt voids
Can help reduce the risk of debris entering the cone opening.
THE PROCESS
From bolt-box assembly to steel erection
A four-stage workflow that integrates into existing site procedures.
01
Confirm the specification
Review cone dimensions, bolt diameter, embedment depth and baseplate requirements.
02
Assemble the bolt box
Fit Centraliser units to the bolt and position them within the waxed cone.
03
Install and pour
Secure to the setting-out system and complete the concrete pour.
04
Prepare for steel
Protect the bolt void until structural steel is erected.

TESTIMONIALS
Proven through practical site use
I initially dismissed Centraliser as another gimmick, but after seeing the product demonstrated on site, I quickly changed my mind. The cones remained rigid during installation and the bolts stayed correctly aligned.
Mark Jackson
Hannon Brothers
A practical product that addresses a real on-site issue. The technical support during planning made specification straightforward and the units performed as described.
Site Engineer
Major UK Contractor
Reduced the need for bolt correction at steel erection stage and helped maintain programme. Will be specifying on the next phase.
